Haemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology Unit

STATE-OF-THE-ART technology to diagnose and treat heart disease

The Haemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology Unit at Hospital Recoletas Salud has state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat heart disease.

Through catheterisation procedures, usually performed through a radial access (via an artery in the wrist), it is possible to identify severe obstructions of the coronary arteries. If such blockages are found, advanced techniques are available to determine whether drug-eluting stents are needed to resolve the problem.

This Unit offers a comprehensive care in the treatment of structural heart diseases, these include valve disease (such as transcatheter aortic valve implantation, or TAVI), structural alterations (such as patent foramen ovale and left atrial appendage closure), as well as congenital diseases (such as atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus and coarctation of the aorta).

We use minimally invasive procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases based on state-of-the-art technology.

Innovation at the service of your heart

Revolutionising cardiology with advanced techniques

Interventional cardiac treatment is less invasive, which facilitates faster recovery, shortens hospitalisation time and reduces sequelae compared to conventional cardiac surgery.
