Thirteen works by the painter Alejandro Hermann
In collaboration with the [H]ARTE Foundation to improve the hospital stay of their patients
Since yesterday evening, the Recoletas Salud Hospital in Marbella has been hosting an exhibition by the Argentinian artist Alejandro Hermann, who has been living in Marbella for more than three decades.
With the common goal of humanising hospital spaces and progressively turning them into more welcoming and comfortable places, Recoletas Salud Marbella in collaboration with the [H]ARTE Foundation is organising this second exhibition (the first was that of the artist Hubertus de Holenhoe), consisting of eleven paintings selected by the artist himself for this exhibition, which are distributed throughout the common areas of the hospital for the enjoyment of patients and workers.
At the opening of the exhibition, Carmen Rodríguez, manager of Recoletas Salud Marbella, welcomed this initiative which aims to ensure that patients who come to the hospital enjoy a friendlier, warmer and much better stay.
"For Recoletas Salud Marbella this initiative is a great success that highlights our desire to be much more than a hospital that provides health and wellness. We also want to bring art closer to our patients, to promote culture and knowledge."said Carmen Rodríguez.
Improving patients' hospital experience, enhancing their well-being and enriching their lives is also the main goal of the [H]ARTE Foundation. Tamara Kreisler, who has more than 25 years of experience in the art world, is the president of this foundation. "There is evidence of the therapeutic effect of art on people. The World Health Organisation itself highlights the role of art in reducing stress, tension, anxiety, etc. in patients."he stressed.
Both Carmen Rodríguez and Kreisler emphasised the good fortune of being able to have the artist Alejando Hermann in this exhibition, whose works have been visited collectively, privately and individually in different parts of Spain and Europe.
For over 40 years, Hermann has explored a wide range of styles, subjects, materials and techniques, from figurative painting to the most intimate abstraction, inviting the viewer to an experience of emotional and spiritual introspection. His art seeks to inspire thought, evoking inner states of peace, balance and reflection.
