The Pain Unit of Hospital Recoletas Salud Marbella specialises in carrying out a detailed analysis of the processes related to chronic pain, in order to adjust the most appropriate treatment for each patient. The specialist in this unit identifies the mechanisms at the origin of the disorder and then determines the most appropriate treatment for each patient on an individualised basis.
Patients who come to the Pain Unit have generally been referred after failing to obtain satisfactory results with other more conventional treatments tfor alleviating their pain. After assessing each case, the anaesthesiologist will design specific treatments focused on resolving the cause of the pain whenever possible.
If a definitive solution is not found, therapies that reduce the intensity of the pain are chosen, which contributes to improving the patient's quality of life.
