Caring for people when they need it and helping them to "live longer, better and happier lives" is one of the priority objectives of the Recoletas Salud Group, an organisation with more than 35 years of experience in the health sector, which has just joined the Starlite Occident festival as a partner.

This hospital group - a benchmark in the field of health and wellness, which has recently set up in Marbella as part of its expansion process in southern Spain - and Starlite Occident - a benchmark in the world of music and leisure at an international level, whose image is closely linked to that of the city where it was born - converge at this point.

"Caring for patients - their physical health, but also their mental health - listening to them, pampering them and dedicating the time they need" and of course, "offering them first class care" is fundamental for Recoletas Salud, explains Carmen Rodríguez Bermúdez, the managing director of the hospital in Marbella, to EFE.

In this context, they have not hesitated to sign a collaboration agreement with Starlite Occident as their values coincide in many aspects with those of the festival, especially in terms of making people happier, says Carmen Rodríguez.

In addition to the Recoletas Salud Marbella hospital, Recoletas currently has hospitals in Valladolid, Burgos, Zamora, Palencia, Segovia, Ponferrada, Salamanca (under construction), Cuenca, Ourense, Cádiz and Córdoba, where it treats all types of pathologies and offers all specialities. It also has around thirty medical centres and numerous Diagnostic Imaging centres. It is also present in Murcia, Zaragoza, Seville, Santander and Pamplona with its reproductive medicine clinics, Vida.

Technology, a common denominator

Technology is very present in all Recoletas Salud centres and the group's management strives to be at the forefront in the world of healthcare, maintaining a firm commitment to technological advances, as it has done since its origins.

The decision to open in Marbella is directly related to the fact that "the working model and the way of doing things" of this hospital group fits perfectly with the idiosyncrasies of this city, "one of the main cities in Andalusia", says Carmen Rodríguez.

And to be presented in the capital of the jet set by Starlite Occident is "a unique opportunity" that they could not let slip away because "Marbella in Starlite and Starlite is Marbella", he says.

Thus, the Costa del Sol hospital is its first 'boutique hospital'," says the centre's managing director, "and it is very focused on women, surgery and prevention because," she stresses, "today's patients are increasingly coming to prevent disease.

At Recoletas Salud they work to ensure that patients take care of themselves and "there is no better care than being with family and friends enjoying a good time", says Carmen Rodríguez, who stresses that listening to music, attending a good concert and being at ease with yourself "helps to take care of your health".

A partnership for the future

This year is the first year of collaboration between the two entities, each a model of success in its sector, but "it will not be the only one", stresses the managing director of the Marbella hospital, because this strategic alliance was born with a vocation for the future and the agreement is here to stay.

Sandra García-Sanjuán, co-founder and executive president of the Starlite Group, also agrees, and is very pleased to have the Recoletas Salud Group as new travelling companions.

"We have just met and the relationship is in its infancy," said the head of the Starlite Occident festival, who is convinced that this is only the beginning of a close and fruitful collaboration.

"Together we are stronger than ever, and together we will be even better", said Sandra García-Sanjuán, as Starlite Occident has just started its summer season.

With months of concerts ahead, the festival's co-founder hopes to surprise the audience at this year's La Cantera de Nagüeles, where Marc Anthony, Raphael, Nathy Peluso, Europe and Will Smith, among other artists, will be performing.
